WHEN TO GO
Kenya is a year round destination—though the best wildlife viewing months are during the dry season from late June to October. The wildebeest migration reaches the Masai Mara in July and remains until October when they move back to the Serengeti in Tanzania. Wildlife viewing is good year-round, but this can differ for some parks. If you have a specific interest, let us know and we can help you plan your trip accordingly.
Things To See
During the dry season, between July and October the wildlife in the Maasai Mara is unparalleled along with the Great Migration happening | Cultural experiences with Maasai & Samburu tribes | Other spectacles include; Lake Nakuru & its Flamingos; Mt. Kenya, Africa’s second highest peek; Amboseli with views of Mount Kilimanjaro; Tsavo with its impressive elephant numbers; Lake Turkana & its lunar landscape; Samburu, Shaba & Buffalo Springs.
What is a day on safari in Kenya like? No day will ever be the same as the next, each location unique in its wildlife and landscape. However, this is a minute idea of what it might entail.
Lounging in opulent African summer houses, the great outdoors is at our finger tips. As the bush awakens, we help ourselves to a steaming mug of coffee or tea before heading out on safari.
Lunch is often served on the deck which is the ideal vantage point for spotting game, or in the shade of a spreading acacia.
After sundown, it is enhanced by the theatrical light of tripod lamps, reminiscent of the age of the explorers.
In the evening, the fireplace becomes the gathering spot to share wildlife experiences, incredible sightings and adventures under the starlit sky.
